Good Morning Afternoon from the Promptbox Team!

Late Edition due to a Thanksgiving Parade 🦃

Alts are bleeding out and I’m buying as the DOJ plans to announce crypto regulations this afternoon.

They’re trying to get that cheap BTC for BlackRock but I’m expecting $40k very soon.

A project did come across my radar yesterday. ResearchCoin.

It’s several months old but relatively unknown.

There’s only one trading pair on Uniswap, which means it isn’t on any exchanges yet.

With a $12M mcap it has an added bonus that it’s cofounded by Brian Armstrong of Coinbase.

I just bought 12,000 at .15. NFA

It’s Tuesday. Let’s get it.

*A reminder that this will be a short week for us. Starting Wednesday we’ll be off until next Monday. During this time we’re changing up the look and feel and introducing some new sections and features.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is set to announce significant cryptocurrency enforcement actions in an upcoming press conference this afternoon.

This announcement, expected to involve key figures like Attorney General Merrick Garland and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, signals a major development in the government's approach to cryptocurrency regulation and enforcement.

Let’s Review:

  • Major Announcement Expected: The DOJ plans to unveil substantial cryptocurrency enforcement actions.

  • High-Profile Participation: Attorney General Merrick Garland, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and others are slated to speak at the conference.

  • Uncertain Details: The specific nature of the enforcement actions is not yet clear.

  • Possible Binance Settlement: There is speculation about a multibillion-dollar settlement with Binance to prevent an FTX-like crash, possibly worth $4 billion to $5 billion.

  • Other DOJ Activities: The DOJ recently seized $9 million in Tether from a scam operation and collaborated with Tether and the US Secret Service on a human trafficking investigation.

  • SEC Involvement: The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed a lawsuit against Kraken’s parent companies, though no SEC officials will be present at the DOJ press conference..

The impending DOJ announcement, coupled with recent actions against major players in the cryptocurrency market, underscores a heightened level of scrutiny and regulatory intervention in the crypto space.

As the government intensifies its focus on cryptocurrency enforcement, the industry faces a pivotal moment that could shape its regulatory landscape and operational practices for years to come.
