🍎 Apple's $1 Billion AI FOMO

PLUS: PEPE Burns 5.5M Tokens and Bitcoin Surges to $35k

Good Morning from the Promptbox Team!

Rocktober has once again lived up to its name, decimating bears as Bitcoin runs up from $30k to $35k, but now what?

First, this is an unusual rally as it looks to be fueled by institutional FOMO, which we haven’t really seen before. If the reports are correct and BlackRock is seeding its ETF, no one wants to get left behind.

But, if any of the reports turn out to be just a rumor then expect it to go down just as fast - probably all the way back down to 28k, where we have historical support/volume.

There is a saying, ‘if it’s fast, it’s false’. Something to keep in mind.

Personally, I’m still buying because if you believe in the 4-year cycle, as I do, November is going to be wild.

Happy Tuesday. Let's get it.

- Kevin

Apple was seemingly blindsided by the rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence, notably exemplified by OpenAI's ChatGPT.

This apparent oversight has prompted the company to take massive financial step, underlined by an annual billion-dollar commitment, to bridge this technological gap and maintain its market leadership.

Key Facts

  • Significant Investment: Apple is dedicating $1 billion to advance in generative AI technology, looking to integrate it across their product range.

  • Leadership Involvement: The initiative is spearheaded by Apple's senior vice presidents, John Giannandrea and Craig Federighi.

  • Rapid Response: Despite CEO Tim Cook's claims of Apple's longstanding work on generative AI, reports suggest Apple executives were unprepared for the industry's swift AI evolution and have been playing catch-up since last year.

Apple has been working on generative AI technology for years. But I can tell you in no uncertain terms that Apple executives were caught off guard by the industry’s sudden AI fever and have been scrambling since late last year to make up for lost time

While Apple's response signifies its ambition to reclaim its forefront position in the AI revolution, it also sheds light on the cutthroat pace of innovation in the tech world.

As other tech giants press ahead with AI advancements, Apple's billion-dollar commitment showcases not just a desire to catch up, but potentially to redefine the AI narrative in their signature style.
