Good Morning from the Promptbox Team!
Building on yesterday's anti-regulation theme, known AI expert Kamala Harris is sounding the alarm about the 'AI threat to democracy and privacy.'
It's not wars, inflation, or even corruption that's the problemâit's AI.
Why the daily deluge of 'killer AI' or 'end of the world' articles?
There's a push to condition the masses into fearing AI.
Why?
To garner votes and move AI behind closed doors, out of reach from everyday folks like us.
Don't let political agendas stop your progress.
And as for Joe Biden's concerns about AI 'threats'? Apparently, he picked that up from watching Mission Impossible. (for real)
Itâs November. Letâs get it.

November 1, 2023
President Joe Biden, influenced by concerns over artificial intelligence and its portrayal in popular media, specifically in Tom Cruiseâs latest flick Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1, has taken action, signing an executive order focused on the regulation and ethical use of AI.
Overview
Biden's apprehensions were not only due to fake AI-generated images of himself but also after witnessing the power of AI in the action movie "Mission: Impossible â Dead Reckoning Part One."
The film, which showcased a menacing AI entity, highlighted potential real-world AI threats, including the manipulation of video footage and the eerily accurate replication of human voices.
White House deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed emphasized that Biden's reactions to the film intensified his concerns about AI's potential misuse..
The new executive order has far-reaching implications. Companies, including tech giants like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft-backed OpenAI, will now be required to share AI safety test results if their AI models pose a substantial risk to national security or public health.
President Biden is rolling out the strongest set of actions any government in the world has ever taken on AI safety, security, and trust.
What else can I even say?

She will say the existential threats are âwithout question, profound, and demand global action.

DEATH POLL
Microsoftâs news aggregation service published the automated poll next to a Guardian story about the death of Lilie James, a 21-year-old water polo coach who was found dead with serious head injuries at a school in Sydney last week.
The poll, created by an AI program, asked: âWhat do you think is the reason behind the womanâs death?â Readers were then asked to choose from three options: murder, accident or suicide.
DAILY DOOMSDAY HEADLINE
In May, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman filed into a Senate subcommittee hearing room in Washington, DC, with an urgent plea to lawmakers: Create thoughtful regulations that embrace the powerful promise of artificial intelligence â while mitigating the risk that it overpowers humanity.
Later Altman joined hundreds of top AI scientists, researchers and business leaders in signing a letter stating: âMitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war.â
