(It just happened to come the day after Elon trashed the previous version)

This update comes from OpenAI's developer conference, spotlighting a smarter, cost-effective AI model equipped with the latest information up to April 2023.

Updated Information: GPT-4 Turbo has been trained on data as recent as April 2023, providing it with a contemporary knowledge edge over its predecessors.
Expanded Context: The new model boasts a 128,000-token context window, allowing for more comprehensive and coherent long-form conversations.
Cost Efficiency: Developers will find GPT-4 Turbo more affordable to operate, with significant cost reductions making it three times cheaper than former models.

FEEDING FRENZY
Arthur Mensch, founder of Paris-based start-up Mistral AI, was representing the only European company present on the second day of the UK’s AI Safety Summit, when about 30 executives and politicians gathered for a more intimate discussion than that held by the previous day’s 100 attendees, sparking interest of investors.

As part of a new program, Copyright Shield, OpenAI says that it’ll pay the legal costs incurred by customers — specifically customers using the “generally available” features of OpenAI’s developer platform and ChatGPT Enterprise, the business tier of its AI-powered ChatGPT chatbot — who face lawsuits over IP claims against work generated by an OpenAI tool..
