Good Morning from the Promptbox Team!

72 emails. That’s how many I got last night after SBF was found guilty on all 7 counts.

The majority of them asked if that’s what todays issue was going to be about - and aside from this introduction, the answer is no.

I’ll wait until March 2024 when he’s sentenced because that’s when it actually matters.

Do we get a lighter sentence from his past political donations or does he die in jail, as he’s facing over 100 years in prison.

When that question is answered, then we’ll discuss, until then prepare for a very choppy weekend and watch out for some good buys.

Happy Friday. Let’s get it.

November 3, 2023

The legendary rock band, The Beatles, has unveiled their first "new" song since 1995 titled "Now and Then."

Utilizing cutting-edge machine learning technology, remaining members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr transformed an old John Lennon demo into a completed track, reigniting the Beatles magic after nearly three decades.

Key Points:

  • Release: The Beatles' new song "Now and Then" is now available on streaming platforms, including an Atmos mix where supported.

  • Origins: The original demo of "Now and Then" by John Lennon was first experimented with in the mid-'90s for the band's Anthology albums but was left incomplete due to technical constraints.

  • Revival: The chance to rework the song came when director Peter Jackson's team developed technology that could segregate musical components into separate tracks using machine learning. This technological breakthrough allowed McCartney to add a bass track, Starr to include drums, and producer Giles Martin to infuse a string arrangement reminiscent of past Beatles records.

  • Contribution: The completed song retains George Harrison's contributions from previous Anthology sessions, and McCartney also incorporated a slide guitar solo in Harrison's style.

To still be working on Beatles music in 2023... wow. We’re actually messing around with state-of-the-art technology, which is something the Beatles would’ve been very interested in. ‘Now and Then,’ it’s probably like the last Beatles song. And we’ve all played on it, so it is a genuine Beatle recording.

The release of "Now and Then" may very well mark the final chapter for The Beatles. Yet, the implications of the track separation technology used for its creation hold a promise for rejuvenating countless other historical recordings in the future.

The integration of technology with bygone art signifies an era where the past can be reimagined, and that’s something we’re here for.
